Quality Assurance

Although the latest CNC production machines ensure maximum uniformity and freedom from defects, we still attach great importance to quality control before, during and after production, such as:

  • Control of the optimum material selection, range of hardness and drawings before production
  • Evaluation of purity and determination of the annealed structure during steel production
  • Ultrasonic tests for internal defects
  • Hardness/tensile testing to ensure that the required mechanical properties are obtained
  • Final dimensional and surface crack inspection

The goods are only released for despatch when all intermediate and final inspections are satisfactorily completed. Our continual investment in new plant and production techniques, and an up to date Quality Assurance System, ensures highest quality. S+C Bowers & Jones is certifi ed to ISO 9001.
