Schmidt + Clemens Presents Highlights
in High-Grade Steel
Lindlar/Düsseldorf, 28.03.2008. The Lindlar, Oberbergisches Land, based Schmidt + Clemens Group (S+C) presents its 2008 highlights in high-grade steel at the most important trade fairs world-wide for the tube, wire, and cable industry from 31.03. until 04.04.2008. Market segments are complex tooling systems for extrusion presses as well as rolls for manufacturing tubes, profiles, and copper wire.
Presence at the trade fairs in Düsseldorf is of increasing importance for the S + C Group because for the first time and in
addition to “Tube” and “Wire” the “METAV” fair is also going to take place there. The technology of metal working is thus being presented in an even more comprehensive manner - which is creating positive synergies for the circle of visitors and exhibitors. That the so-called „Old Economy“ is once again back in focus world-wide, is shown through the great interest of international customers in the event. „Already before the beginning of the fair, a large number of appointments with experts in the field of extrusion press and tube machining could be generated“, says Olaf Müller, Sales Manager of S+C Märker.
Besides highly wear-resistant rolls and various die sets, exhibits made of forged Märker® high-grade steel will also be presented at the 44 m² exhibition stand of the two S+C subsidiaries S+C MÄRKER und S+C Bowers & Jones (Wolverhampton, UK): Eye-Catcher at the stand is an ingot container weighing tons for the extrusion press industry which is equipped with a technically demanding induction heating and shall inspire the visitors to in-situ expert talks. In addition, rolls from a tube welding installation will be exhibited giving the viewer - by means of a material flow arrangement - the impression of levitating. The field of tube and sheet metal working forms another main focus of this year’s S+C presence at the trade fairs. „The range of equipment varies from individual mill stands to complete mill trains and also includes additional devices such as electronically operated punch mill stands“, tells Axel Korb, responsible for Rolls Sales at S+C.
The world’s biggest trade fairs for the tube and wire industry offer a unique communications platform for exhibitors, decisions makers, and suppliers. During the five trade fair days, a total of 13 members of staff at the S+C exhibition stand in Hall 8a are expecting a large number of national and international trade and professional visitors; among them the Chief Administrative Officer of the Oberberg District, Hagen Jobi, who has announced his visit for 02.04.2008 (11:00 am).
