„2008 – all signs point to a successful year“
Lindlar, 30.04.2008. In 2007, Schmidt + Clemens (S+C), leading manufacturer of high performance steel components, again defended its position on the world market and concluded the financial year with record sales of 319 million EUR.
In 2006, S+C had already posted record sales of 249 million EUR which could once again be increased by approximately 28 percent. “For the third time running we managed to substantially increase sales compared to the previous year", says Jan Schmidt-Krayer, Managing Partner of Schmidt + Clemens."We are very pleased that we managed to strengthen the Group by trend-setting ideas and to maintain against the international competition".
Technical innovations as well as investments in further training and education of dedicated employees were important aspects in the financial year 2007 which contributed to the success of the company.
We went through our self – concept, the strengths and weaknesses of S+C with a fine–tooth comb and defined our positioning in tomorrow´s market”, so Schmidt-Krayer. “2008 – all signs point to a successful year”.
In order to continue growing in times of “full load”, high investments are required. Therefore, we invested far beyond replacement requirements in 2007 as well. In particular, the latest division Spuncasting Special Products was in focus. “This division is going to keep growing in the coming years, and we will concentrate more and more on high-quality materials.”, says Jan Schmidt-Krayer.
