SCHMIDT + CLEMENS: ACHIEVING A TOP POSITION WORLDWIDE WITH INNOVATIVE FORCE AND STRONG PERFORMANCE

The Lindlar special steel specialist Schmidt + Clemens (S+C) is a world market leader in tube systems for the petrochemical industry. This has now been certified by Lexikon der deutschen Weltmarktführer ("Lexicon of German World Market Leaders") which had its book launch on the 27th of January in Schwäbisch Hall.

„I am very proud that our family-owned company has made it to the top of the world market,“ reports managing partner Jan Schmidt-Krayer, who journeyed to Schwäbisch Hall just to take part in the summit of world market leaders. "Our company was founded 135 years ago and managed by constantly changing and due to unbelievable innovative force to permanently establish itself in a niche market."

Tube systems from Schmidt + Clemens are now in worldwide use in steam reformers or so-called steam crackers, where they are exposed to extremes of corrosion, temperature and pressure. That S+C has made it to the world's top has also been due to the corporate group's own research and development activities. The researchers and scientists repeatedly managed to optimise and modify materials so that they match the specific conditions of each petrochemical plant and, in that way, contribute to raising productivity.
