Access data / Server log files

The Provider (or its webspace provider) collects data each time the Website is accessed (so-called “server log files”). Access data includes:
The name of the website accessed, the data file, the date and time of access, the data volume transferred, the notification of successful access, the browser type and version, the user’s operating system, the referrer URL (the website previously visited), the IP address and the inquiring provider.
The Provider uses the protocol data for the purpose of statistical evaluations only relating to the operation, security and optimisation of the Website. However, the Provider reserves the right to review the protocol data retrospectively in the case of any concrete indications which give rise to a justified suspicion of unlawful use.

Handling of personal information

Personal data is information with the aid of which it is possible to identify an individual, i.e. information that can be traced back to a specific person. Such data includes the name, email address or telephone number. However, information on preferences, hobbies, memberships or websites which have been viewed by someone also count as personal data.
Personal data is only collection, used and passed on by the Provider if it is permitted by law to do so or if the user has consented to the collection of such data.

Contact with the Provider

On contact being made with the Provider (for example by email), the user’s particulars are stored for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case any subsequent questions should arise.

Incorporation of services and third-party content

It is possible that content of third parties, such as videos from YouTube, map material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites may be incorporated into this Website. This is always conditional on the providers of such content (hereinafter referred to as “Third-Party Providers”) perceiving the user’s IP address. Without the IP address, they cannot send the content to the browser of the user concerned. The IP address is therefore necessary in order for such content to be displayed. We endeavour only to use content of providers who use the IP address solely for delivering the content concerned. However, we have no influence on whether or not a Third-Party Provider stores the IP address e.g. for statistical purposes. If we know this to be the case, however, we inform the users accordingly.

Cookies are small data files which make it possible for specific information relating to the user’s access device (PC, tablet, smartphone or such like) to be stored on that device. Their purpose is, on the one hand, to enhance the user friendliness of a website and hence benefit the users. On the other, they are used for gathering statistical data on use of a website and analysing the said data for the purpose of improving the website. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers are equipped with an option that allows the storing of cookies to be restricted or even prevented altogether. Attention should, however, be drawn to the fact that use of a website, and in particular the user convenience, may be impaired in the absence of cookies.

This Website uses Piwik, an open source software product, for the statistical evaluation of visitor access. Piwik uses text files, known as cookies, which are stored on your computer to enable analysis of your use of the website. The data gathered by Piwik is stored on the Provider’s server in Germany and never transmitted to other servers or passed on to third parties, but used in anonymised form for the purpose of improving our Website. The IP address is anonymised immediately after processing and before being stored. You can prevent installation of the cookies by choosing the corresponding setting in your browser software; we would, however, draw your attention to the fact that in this case you may not be able to utilise fully all the functions of this Website.

Revocation, amendments, corrections and updates

The user has the right to be informed, on request and free of charge, of the personal data stored on him or her. The user also has the right to have any incorrect data corrected and also personal data blocked or deleted provided this would not be contrary to any statutory duty to preserve such data.
