Best training company in the industry 2021

Lindlar, 29.03.2021. The Lindlar-based stainless steel specialist Schmidt + Clemens (S+C) has been awarded the title of Best Training Company and impressed as the industry's best training company in the category of stainless steel production and processing. The study "Germany's Best Training Companies" was conducted by the Institute for Management and Economic Research on behalf of Deutschland Test and the business magazine Focus-Money.

"In recent years, we have invested massively in our training and further education activities", says managing partner, Jan Schmidt-Krayer. "Our concept of bundling all training and further education activities in the S+C Academy has been a success, but at the same time it is an obligation to keep developing."

S+C employs around 30 trainees in a wide range of technical and commercial professions. In addition, there are training modules and exam preparation courses offered to companies in the surrounding area. "Word about the quality of our modules and courses has spread to other companies", reports the Training Manager, Uwe Leimbach. "Throughout the year, we offer specialised training courses and courses to once again intensively prepare trainees for the exams shortly before they take them."

This year, S+C has once again expanded its training workshop and integrated a separate unit for the training of electronics technicians and additionally hired a specialist trainer in the S+C Academy. Currently, the Academy team is also setting up an e-learning platform. Derived from the English word "skills", it is called "S+Cills - The Digital Campus" and will in future offer all employees the opportunity to continue their education independently of time.

"Anyone who wants to start an apprenticeship in 2022 should apply now, because the apprenticeship places are in great demand," reports Leimbach.

The results of the test were published in the business magazine Focus in issue 13/21.
