The Lindlar-based stainless steel specialist Schmidt + Clemens (S+C) is currently presenting the metal and electrical industry info truck at the Gummersbach-Derschlag comprehensive school.

On two floors, employees from the employers' association Gesamtmetall (ME) and S+C are presenting attractive apprenticeships in the metal and electrical industry, providing information about vacant apprenticeships and showing what really counts in the world of work.

"The info truck offers us an attractive opportunity to present the professions in our industry to schoolchildren," says Lars Niemczewski, press spokesman for S+C. "In this way, we can make an important contribution to career guidance. Pupils in grades 8 to 10 can take advantage of the opportunity to find out more live on site".

The association's info truck will showcase attractive opportunities that the metal and electrical industry offers its skilled workers. The aim is to be able to offer an apprenticeship that suits personal goals. The different training opportunities, the variety of training occupations and practical tips on applications, CVs and job interviews will be presented.

The impressive information truck will be at the comprehensive school in Gummersbach-Derschlag until Thursday. "We are looking forward to many interesting conversations with the pupils and hope to be able to give them a good orientation for their professional life," says Niemczewski.

Schmidt + Clemens is the global market leader in tube systems for the petrochemical industry and also occupies a leading position in other sectors. In addition to its headquarters in Lindlar, the family-owned company also produces in the Czech Republic, Spain and Malaysia. The company has founded its own academy for vocational training and personnel development. S+C has already received several awards for its special achievements in vocational training.
