Jan Schmidt-Krayer from Schmidt + Clemens sets off on a donation marathon

Lindlar, December 18, 2024. As Managing Partner of the Schmidt + Clemens Group (S+C), Jan Schmidt-Krayer has once again shown that social responsibility is firmly anchored in the company's values. As part of a two-day donation marathon, he handed over considerable financial support to six social and charitable organizations in the region.

The donations at a glance:

Frielingsdorf Food Pantry:

€5,000.00. The food pantry supports needy families and individuals in Frielingsdorf with food and other important resources.

St. Apollinaris Frielingsdorf retirement community:

€500.00. This community promotes social cohesion among older people and offers activities to counteract isolation in old age.

Frielingsdorf-Scheel volunteer fire department:

€25,000.00. The fire department makes an indispensable contribution to safety in the region and relies on voluntary work. The donation is intended in particular to support the fitting out of the new fire station and the purchase of new equipment.

Lebensfarben e.V., Wiehl:

€5,000.00. The association advises, supports and accompanies children and young people whose parents are in existential stress situations such as mental illness and addiction.

Oberbergische Tafel e.V., Gummersbach:

€5,000.00. The food bank distributes surplus food to socially disadvantaged people and thus actively contributes to the fight against poverty. In addition to the cash donation, the company also provided sports shoes.

Freie Christliche Bekenntnisschule Gummersbach (FCBG):

€7,500.00. The donation will be used to set up a new technology room to provide pupils with modern learning conditions.

Jan Schmidt-Krayer explained: "As a family business, I want to take responsibility in our region. Especially in the run-up to Christmas, it becomes clear that there is a shortage in many places. With our contribution, we want to alleviate some of the need on the one hand and support educational projects, such as at FCBG, on the other."
