2024 was another successful year for Schmidt + Clemens, which succeeded in maintaining its position as the global market leader in centrifugally cast tube systems for the petrochemical industry and taking on a leading role in the service sector. An increase in orders and various improvement measures enabled S+C to achieve an exceptionally good operating result in a year of major global challenges. The good result is thanks to the consistent implementation of the corporate strategy, the persistent commitment, and the exceptional agility of the management and the entire team.

After all, the general conditions that this family business had to face in 2024 were certainly difficult. Energy costs remained extremely high. Extensive optimizations and innovations in processes were still required in order to cope with the high volume of orders and increase production output. Successful procurement management avoided bottlenecks in the supply of materials.

2024 was an eventful year. The ongoing Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and the Middle East conflicts have unsettled us all. On the purchasing side, the supply of materials was secured while energy costs unfortunately remain at record levels. Nevertheless, the year was characterized by good capacity utilization at our sites.

At around EUR 472 million, the Group’s revenues in 2024 were around 33% higher than in the previous year. The balance sheet total increased from around EUR 226 million to EUR 335 million. The equity ratio was around 52%. The S+C Group achieved a pleasing result, despite the difficult conditions mentioned above.

A forecast for the 2025 financial year is still difficult at the present time. We have to assume that electricity and gas prices will unfortunately remain at a very highlevel. Raw material prices are still subject to major fluctuations. Many geopolitical uncertainties remain. However, a good volume of orders gives us confidence.
