Solutions for industrial furnace construction

Keeping you ahead

Industrial furnaces, including thermal processing plants, designed as floor-standing or continuous furnaces are utilized in a wide variety of industrial processes such as heating, drying, holding, heat treatment, calcination, reduction etc. They are heated either with fuels such as natural gas (direct / indirect) or electrically.

All these furnaces are equipped with highly heat-resistant components that that either carry, transport or protect the furnace load.

Industrial furnace construction:
Pusher tubes

Centrifugal casting provides an ideal basis for the production of rotationally symmetrical components for industrial furnaces. The directional solidification, combined with uniform grain size and a wide range of heat-resistant stainless steels and alloys, enables parts with long-term properties that are significantly superior compared to forged and rolled products.

Examples for centrifugally casting products

  • Pusher tubes for multi-tube furnaces
  • Cross over tubes
  • Transport rollers
  • Retorts (static or rotating)
  • Various furnace tubes

In addition to centrifugally cast products, Schmidt + Clemens also supplies corrosion and heat-resistant cast steel components in accordance to DIN EN 10295, ISO 13853 and many other common standards and specifications.

Why working
with Schmidt + Clemens?

Schmidt + Clemens’ centrifugal castings enable furnace parts with best stability for high operational reliability and trouble-free durability.

Examples for static cast products

  • Cast elbows or tube bends
  • Cones
  • Reducers
  • Fan wheels
  • Supports for charging fixtures
  • Transport boats for metal powder reduction
  • Bushings
  • Bearings (support rings)

The S+C range of products and services covers the entire spectrum of manufacturing processes, from centrifugal casting to static and investment casting and forgings. This is complemented by our specialist’s materials consulting.

Welded fabrications, partly assembled from components made in different manufacturing processes, are also a specialty of S+C, opening up new horizons in terms of performance and durability. Increasing the efficiency of your plant and reducing costs through a longer service life is our shared goal.

Thanks to many years of experience in the field of industrial furnaces, we have developed a wide range of materials, partly suitable for extreme requirements and temperatures ≥1200°C. This enables us usually to offer you at least one optimal solution for your specific furnace or production situation.

Schmidt + Clemens – Innovation in stainless steel for a wide range of applications.
