With a final grade of 98%, Samuel completed his training in June 2022 at the multiple award-winning training company Schmidt + Clemens (S+C) in Lindlar. The training of cutting machine operators takes place in the company's own academy. There, the trainees learn the basics of metal technology and then, step by step, the various techniques that make up today's very complex professional field of the cutting machine operator. The trainees then go to the company to deepen the skills they have learned on site, before returning to the academy for preparation before the final examination.
"The success of our training concept shows that we are on the right track," says Jan Schmidt-Krayer, managing partner at the long-established stainless steel manufacturer S+C. "Years ago, we already invested massively in our academy and continue to keep it up to the latest standards."
Among the well-wishers were also Federal Minister of Labor Hubertus Heil and the President of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Peter Adrian.
S+C is the world market leader with tube systems for the petrochemical industry and trains in a total of 10 professions. Currently, 36 young people are undergoing training at S+C. The S+C Academy is also open to other companies in the region. Today, there are training cooperations with numerous companies in the Oberberg region. S+C takes over the training of external students for individual modules or the intensive preparation for exams.
