Lindlar, December 17, 2025. In challenging times, Lindlar-based stainless steel specialist Schmidt + Clemens (S+C) remains clearly committed to its responsibility in the region. In the run-up to Christmas, Jan Schmidt-Krayer, managing partner of the long-established company, once again made donations to several social institutions in the Oberbergischer Kreis district. The St. Apollinaris senior citizens' community in Frielingsdorf received a donation of €500, while the Frielingsdorf food bank was supported with €3,000. In addition, €5,000 each went to the Tafel Oberberg e.V. food bank in Gummersbach and the Lebensfarben – Hilfen für Kinder und Jugendliche e.V. association in Wiehl.
This financial commitment was complemented by active help from within the company's own ranks. Even before the donations were handed over, S+C trainees spent several days supporting the food banks in Lindlar and Frielingsdorf as well as the food bank in Gummersbach. They collected food, sorted and packaged it, and helped distribute it to those in need.
With this combination of financial support and personal commitment, S+C is underlining its deep regional roots and its self-image as a responsible member of society. Against the backdrop of the current restructuring within the company, this commitment is an expression of the conviction that solidarity, cohesion, and responsibility are of central importance, especially in turbulent times.
